Product Overview: The ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of samples in cell culture supernatant, serum, plasma (EDTA, citrate, heparin).
Intended Use: This Human Receptor Interacting Serine Threonine Kinase 3 (RIPK3) ELISA kit is intended for laboratory research use only. The stop solution changes color from blue to yellow and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm using a spectrophotometer. In order to measure the concentration of Human Receptor Interacting Serine Threonine Kinase 3 (RIPK3) in the sample, this Human Receptor Interacting Serine Threonine Kinase 3 (RIPK3) ELISA Kit includes a set of calibration standards. The calibration standards are assayed at the same time as the samples and allow the operator to produce a standard curve of optical density versus Human Receptor Interacting Serine Threonine Kinase 3 (RIPK3) concentration. The concentration of the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene is a member of the receptor-interacting protein (RIP) family of serine/threonine protein kinases, and contains a C-terminal domain unique from other RIP family members. The encoded protein is predominantly localized to the cytoplasm, and can undergo nucleocytoplasmic shuttling dependent on novel nuclear localization and export signals. It is a component of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor-I signaling complex, and can induce apoptosis and weakly activate the NF-kappaB transcription factor. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Essential for necroptosis, a programmed cell death process in response to death-inducing TNF-alpha family members. Upon induction of necrosis, RIPK3 interacts with, and phosphorylates RIPK1 and MLKL to form a necrosis-inducing complex. RIPK3 binds to and enhances the activity of three metabolic enzymes: GLUL, GLUD1, and PYGL. These metabolic enzymes may eventually stimulate the tricarboxylic acid cycle and oxidative phosphorylation, which could result in enhanced ROS production.

Product Notes

The Human RIPK3 ripk3 (Catalog #AAA9137723) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9137723 ELISA Kit recognizes Human RIPK3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Receptor Interacting Serine Threonine Kinase 3 (RIPK3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
