Related Product Information for P2RY14 elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of P2RY14 in human tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to P2RY14. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to P2RY14. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain P2RY14, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of P2RY14 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene belongs to the family of G-protein coupled receptors, which contains several receptor subtypes with different pharmacological selectivity for various adenosine and uridine nucleotides. This receptor is a P2Y purinergic receptor for UDP-glucose and other UDP-sugars coupled to G-proteins. It has been implicated in extending the known immune system functions of P2Y receptors by participating in the regulation of the stem cell compartment, and it may also play a role in neuroimmune function. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Receptor for UDP-glucose and other UDP-sugar coupled to G-proteins. Not activated by ATP, ADP, UTP or ATP.

Product Notes

The Human P2RY14 p2ry14 (Catalog #AAA455329) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA455329 ELISA Kit recognizes Human P2RY14. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Purinergic Receptor P2Y, G Protein Coupled 14 (P2RY14), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
