Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for PES1 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Pescadillo Homolog 1 (PES1). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Pescadillo Homolog 1 (PES1). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Pescadillo Homolog 1 (PES1), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Pescadillo Homolog 1 (PES1) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a nuclear protein that contains a breast cancer associated gene 1 (BRCA1) C-terminal interaction domain. The encoded protein interacts with BOP1 and WDR12 to form the PeBoW complex, which plays a critical role in cell proliferation via pre-rRNA processing and 60S ribosomal subunit maturation. Expression of this gene may play an important role in breast cancer proliferation and tumorigenicity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. Pseudogenes of this gene are located on the long arm of chromosome 4 and the short arm of chromosome 9. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]

Uniprot Description

PES1: Component of the PeBoW complex, which is required for maturation of 28S and 5.8S ribosomal RNAs and formation of the 60S ribosome. Belongs to the pescadillo family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Nucleolus; RNA-binding; Translation

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 22q12.1

Cellular Component: nucleoplasm; membrane; cytoplasm; nucleolus; condensed chromosome; nucleus

Molecular Function: ribonucleoprotein binding; protein binding

Biological Process: cell proliferation; regulation of cell cycle; protein localization in organelle; maturation of LSU-rRNA from tricistronic rRNA transcript (SSU-rRNA, 5.8S rRNA, LSU-rRNA); maturation of 5.8S rRNA from tricistronic rRNA transcript (SSU-rRNA, 5.8S rRNA, LSU-rRNA); ribosomal large subunit biogenesis and assembly; rRNA processing; nucleolus organization and biogenesis

Product Notes

The Human PES1 pes1 (Catalog #AAA2025054) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2025054 ELISA Kit recognizes Human PES1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Pescadillo Homolog 1 (PES1), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
