NCBI Description

This gene encodes a lymphokine involved in cell-mediated immunity, immunoregulation, and inflammation. It plays a role in the regulation of macrophage function in host defense through the suppression of anti-inflammatory effects of glucocorticoids. This lymphokine and the JAB1 protein form a complex in the cytosol near the peripheral plasma membrane, which may indicate an additional role in integrin signaling pathways. Uniprot Description

MIF: a lymphokine involved in cell-mediated immunity, immunoregulation, and inflammation. Also acts as a phenylpyruvate tautomerase.

Product Notes

The Human MIF mif (Catalog #AAA9502063) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9502063 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MIF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIF, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
