UFL1: E3 UFM1-protein ligase that mediates ufmylation of target proteins such as DDRGK1/C20orf116. The function of ufmylation is unknown. May act as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting cell invasion, blocking NF-kappa-B signaling and increasing stability of CDK5RAP3. Belongs to the UFL1 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.
