Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for Grb2 elisa kit
The test principle applied in this kit is Sandwich enzyme immunoassay. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Growth Factor Receptor Bound Protein 2 (Grb2). Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody specific to Growth Factor Receptor Bound Protein 2 (Grb2). Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain Growth Factor Receptor Bound Protein 2 (Grb2), biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm ± 10nm. The concentration of Growth Factor Receptor Bound Protein 2 (Grb2) in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

acts as a link between tyrosine kinase receptors and Ras signaling [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

GRB2: an adaptor protein of the GRB2 / sem-5 / DRK family. Associates with many different tyrosine-phosphorylated proteins via its SH2 domain, including EGFR, PDGFR, IRS-1, SHC and LNK. It also seems to interact with RAS in the signaling pathway leading to DNA synthesis. Binds to and translocates the guanine nucleotide exchange factors SOS. Four alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Isoform GRB3-3 does not bind to phosphorylated epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) but inhibits EGF-induced transactivation of a RAS-responsive element. GRB3-3 acts as a dominant negative protein over GRB2 and by suppressing proliferative signals, may trigger active programmed cell death.

Product Notes

The Human Grb2 grb2 (Catalog #AAA2022056) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2022056 ELISA Kit recognizes Human Grb2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Growth Factor Receptor Bound Protein 2 (Grb2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
