Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Human GNLY. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human GNLY and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross- reactivity detection between Human GNLY and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist.

Related Product Information for GNLY elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of GNLY in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human GNLY. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human GNLY and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human GNLY, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human GNLY. You can calculate the concentration of Human GNLY in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The product of this gene is a member of the saposin-like protein (SAPLIP) family and is located in the cytotoxic granules of T cells, which are released upon antigen stimulation. This protein is present in cytotoxic granules of cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, and it has antimicrobial activity against M. tuberculosis and other organisms. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

GNLY: Antimicrobial protein that kills intracellular pathogens. Active against a broad range of microbes, including Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and parasites. Kills Mycobacterium tuberculosis. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Secreted, signal peptide; Secreted

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 2p11.2

Cellular Component: extracellular space

Biological Process: killing of cells of another organism; defense response to bacterium; cellular defense response; defense response to fungus

Product Notes

The Human GNLY gnly (Catalog #AAA2503524) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2503524 ELISA Kit recognizes Human GNLY. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GNLY, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
