Principle of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human DPYSL2 antibody. DPYSL2 present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human DPYSL2 Antibody is added and binds to DPYSL2 in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated DPYSL2 antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human DPYSL2. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.

Plays a regulatory role in the inflammatory response through the induction of caspase-11 (CASP4/CASP11) which induces the activation of caspase-1 (CASP1) and both these caspases increase the activation of pro-IL1B to mature IL1B which is involved in the inflammatory response. Acts as a major regulator of postnatal neovascularization through regulation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (NOS3)-related signaling ().
