Related Product Information for CYPA elisa kit
Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for the in vitro quantitative measurement of CYPA in human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to CYPA. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to CYPA. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain CYPA, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of CYPA in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase (PPIase) family. PPIases catalyze the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides and accelerate the folding of proteins. The encoded protein is a cyclosporin binding-protein and may play a role in cyclosporin A-mediated immunosuppression. The protein can also interact with several HIV proteins, including p55 gag, Vpr, and capsid protein, and has been shown to be necessary for the formation of infectious HIV virions. Multiple pseudogenes that map to different chromosomes have been reported. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

PPIases accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides.

Product Notes

The Human CYPA ppia (Catalog #AAA454609) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA454609 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CYPA. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Cyclophilin A (CYPA), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
