Principle of the Assay: CTPS1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-CTPS1 antibody and an CTPS1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CTPS1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CTPS1 concentration since CTPS1 from samples and CTPS1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CTPS1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CTPS1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CTPS1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CTPS1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
CTPS: the enzyme cytidine-5-prime-triphosphate synthetase converts UTP to CTP. Important in the biosynthesis of phospholipids and nucleic acids, and plays a key role in cell growth, development, and tumorigenesis. The region to which the CTPS gene has been mapped is the location of breakpoints involved in several tumor types.

Product Notes
The Human CTPS ctps1 (Catalog #AAA7248343) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7248343 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CTPS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CTP synthase 1 (CTPS), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
