Preparation and Storage
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

Related Product Information for CPLX2 elisa kit
This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to Complexin 2 (CPLX2) has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled Complexin 2 (CPLX2) and unlabeled Complexin 2 (CPLX2) (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to Complexin 2 (CPLX2). After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of Complexin 2 (CPLX2) in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of Complexin 2 (CPLX2) in the sample.

NCBI Description

Proteins encoded by the complexin/synaphin gene family are cytosolic proteins that function in synaptic vesicle exocytosis. These proteins bind syntaxin, part of the SNAP receptor. The protein product of this gene binds to the SNAP receptor complex and disrupts it, allowing transmitter release. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

CPLX2: Negatively regulates the formation of synaptic vesicle clustering at active zone to the presynaptic membrane in postmitotic neurons. Positively regulates a late step in synaptic vesicle exocytosis. Also involved in mast cell exocytosis. Belongs to the complexin/synaphin family.

Protein type: Vesicle

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q35.2

Cellular Component: mast cell granule; cell soma; dendrite; synapse; cytosol

Molecular Function: syntaxin-1 binding; calcium-dependent protein binding

Biological Process: regulation of exocytosis; nervous system development; synaptic vesicle exocytosis; positive regulation of synaptic plasticity; mast cell degranulation; cell differentiation; vesicle docking during exocytosis

Product Notes

The Human CPLX2 cplx2 (Catalog #AAA2020555) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2020555 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CPLX2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Complexin 2 (CPLX2), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
