Usage Notes
* Do not mix components from different kit lots or use reagents beyond the kit expiration date.
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for ELA3B elisa kit
Description: This Human Chymotrypsin-like elastase family member 3B (ELA3B) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate ELA3B in samples. An antibody specific for ELA3B has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any ELA3B present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for ELA3B is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of ELA3B bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

Background: Humans have six elastase genes which encode the structurally similar proteins elastase 1, 2, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B. Unlike other elastases, elastase 3B has little elastolytic activity. Like most of the human elastases, elastase 3B is secreted from the pancreas as a zymogen and, like other serine proteases such as trypsin, chymotrypsin and kallikrein, it has a digestive function in the intestine. Elastase 3B preferentially cleaves proteins after alanine residues. Elastase 3B may also function in the intestinal transport and metabolism of cholesterol. Both elastase 3A and elastase 3B have been referred to as protease E and as elastase 1, and excretion of this protein in fecal material is frequently used as a measure of pancreatic function in clinical assays..

Product Notes

The Human ELA3B cela3b (Catalog #AAA9716064) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9716064 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ELA3B. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chymotrypsin-Like Elastase Family Member 3B (ELA3B), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
