Chondrolectin (CHODL); Human Chondrolectin (CHODL) ELISA Kit; CHODL elisa kit
Ordering
For Research Use Only!
Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of CHODL. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between CHODL and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between CHODL and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.
Samples
Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Intended Uses: This CHODL ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human CHODL. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: CHODL ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-CHODL antibody and an CHODL-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with CHODL-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme- substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the CHODL concentration since CHODL from samples and CHODL-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-CHODL antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by CHODL from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind CHODL-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The CHODL concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Uniprot Description

CHODL: a type I membrane protein with a carbohydrate recognition domain characteristic of C-type lectins in its extracellular portion. In other proteins, this domain is involved in endocytosis of glycoproteins and exogenous sugar-bearing pathogens. This protein localizes predominantly to the perinuclear region. Several transcript variants encoding a few different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2011]

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral; Endoplasmic reticulum

Cellular Component: membrane; perinuclear region of cytoplasm; cytoplasm; integral to membrane

Molecular Function: hyaluronic acid binding; carbohydrate binding

Product Notes

The Human CHODL chodl (Catalog #AAA7220526) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7220526 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CHODL. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Chondrolectin (CHODL), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
