Related Product Information for CCR2 elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human CCR2 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses the Sandwich-ELISA principle. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human CCR2. Standards or samples are added to the micro ELISA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human CCR2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human CCR2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of stop solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human CCR2. You can calculate the concentration of Human CCR2 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes two isoforms of a receptor for monocyte chemoattractant protein-1, a chemokine which specifically mediates monocyte chemotaxis. Monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 is involved in monocyte infiltration in inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis as well as in the inflammatory response against tumors. The receptors encoded by this gene mediate agonist-dependent calcium mobilization and inhibition of adenylyl cyclase. This gene is located in the chemokine receptor gene cluster region. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants are expressed by the gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

Uniprot Description

CCR2: a seven transmembrane protein closely related to CCR1. Receptor for the MCP-1, MCP-3 and MCP-4 chemokines. Expressed at high levels in primary neutrophils and primary monocytes, and is further upregulated on neutrophil activation and during monocyte to macrophage differentiation. Transduces a signal by increasing the intracellular calcium ions level. Alternative co receptor with CD4 for HIV-1 infection. Two splice-variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The Human CCR2 ccr2 (Catalog #AAA2516082) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2516082 ELISA Kit recognizes Human CCR2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCR2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
