Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of ATAD3B. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between ATAD3B and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between ATAD3B and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Related Product Information for ATAD3B elisa kit
Intended Uses: This ATAD3B ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human ATAD3B. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: ATAD3B ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-ATAD3B antibody and an ATAD3B-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ATAD3B-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ATAD3B concentration since ATAD3B from samples and ATAD3B-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ATAD3B antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ATAD3B from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ATAD3B-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ATAD3B concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

ATAD3A (MIM 612316) and ATAD3B are mitochondrial membrane proteins that contribute to the stabilization of large mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA)-protein complexes called nucleoids (He et al., 2007 [PubMed 17210950]).[supplied by OMIM, Sep 2008]

Uniprot Description

ATAD3B: May play a role in a mitochondrial network organization typical for stem cells, characterized by reduced mitochondrial metabolism, low mtDNA copies and fragmentated mitochondrial network. may act by suppressing ATAD3A function, interfering with ATAD3A interaction with matrix nucleoid complexes. Belongs to the AAA ATPase family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Mitochondrial

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 1p36.33

Cellular Component: mitochondrial inner membrane

Molecular Function: ATP binding

Product Notes

The Human ATAD3B atad3b (Catalog #AAA7241561) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7241561 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ATAD3B. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ATPase family AAA domain containing protein 3B (ATAD3B), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
