Human Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Repressor (AHRR) ELISA Kit | AHRR elisa kit
Human Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Repressor (AHRR) ELISA Kit
Principles of the Assay: This kit is an Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The plate has been pre-coated with human AHRR antibody. AHRR present in the sample is added and binds to antibodies coated on the wells. And then biotinylated human AHRR Antibody is added and binds to AHRR in the sample. Then Streptavidin-HRP is added and binds to the Biotinylated AHRR antibody. After incubation unbound Streptavidin-HRP is washed away during a washing step. Substrate solution is then added and color develops in proportion to the amount of human AHRR. The reaction is terminated by addition of acidic stop solution and absorbance is measured at 450 nm.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene participates in the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) signaling cascade, which mediates dioxin toxicity, and is involved in regulation of cell growth and differentiation. It functions as a feedback modulator by repressing AhR-dependent gene expression. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]
Uniprot Description
Mediates dioxin toxicity and is involved in regulation of cell growth and differentiation. Represses the transcription activity of AHR by competing with this transcription factor for heterodimer formation with the ARNT and subsequently binding to the xenobiotic response element (XRE) sequence present in the promoter regulatory region of variety of genes. Represses CYP1A1 by binding the XRE sequence and recruiting ANKRA2, HDAC4 and/or HDAC5. Autoregulates its expression by associating with its own XRE site.

Product Notes
The Human AHRR ahrr (Catalog #AAA163261) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA163261 ELISA Kit recognizes Human AHRR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Repressor (AHRR), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
