This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Mini Samples Adiponectin (ADPN). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mini Samples Adiponectin (ADPN) and analogues was observed.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level Mini Samples Adiponectin (ADPN) were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate.

2. Add 25ul standard or sample to each well. Incubate 1 hour at 37 degree C
3. Aspirate and add 25ul prepared Detection Reagent A. Incubate 1 hour at 37 degree C
4. Aspirate and wash 3 times
5. Add 25ul prepared Detection Reagent B. Incubate 30 minutes at 37 degree C
6. Aspirate and wash 5 times
7. Add 25ul Substrate Solution. Incubate 10-20 minutes at 37 degree C
8. Add 20ul Stop Solution. Read at 450nm immediately.
The stability of kit is determined by the loss rate of activity. The loss rate of this kit is less than 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition. To minimize extra influence on the performance, operation procedures and lab conditions, especially room temperature, air humidity, incubator temperature should be strictly controlled. It is also strongly suggested that the whole assay is performed by the same operator from the beginning to the end.

This gene is expressed in adipose tissue exclusively. It encodes a protein with similarity to collagens X and VIII and complement factor C1q. The encoded protein circulates in the plasma and is involved with metabolic and hormonal processes. Mutations in this gene are associated with adiponectin deficiency. Stimulates AMPK phosphorylation and activation in the liver and the skeletal muscle, enhancing glucose utilization and fatty-acid combustion. Antagonizes TNF-alpha by negatively regulating its expression in various tissues such as liver and macrophages, and also by counteracting its effects. Inhibits endothelial NF-kappa-B signaling through a cAMP-dependent pathway. May play a role in cell growth, angiogenesis and tissue remodeling by binding and sequestering various growth factors with distinct binding affinities, depending on the type of complex, LMW, MMW or HMW. Homomultimer. Forms trimers, hexamers and 12- to 18-mers. The trimers (low molecular weight complexes / LMW) are assembled via non-covalent interactions of the collagen-like domains in a triple helix and hydrophobic interactions within the globular C1q domain. Several trimers can associate to form disulfide-linked hexamers (middle molecular weight complexes / MMW) and larger complexes (higher molecular weight / HMW).
