Related Product Information for ADCY2 elisa kit
Description: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of ADCY2 in human serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Sandwich-ELISA as the method. The micro ELISA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human ADCY2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro ELISA plate wells and bound by the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human ADCY2 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human ADCY2, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear blue in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color turns yellow. The optical density (OD) is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The OD value is proportional to the concentration of Human ADCY2. You can calculate the concentration of Human ADCY2 in the samples by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the family of adenylate cyclases, which are membrane-associated enzymes that catalyze the formation of the secondary messenger cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP). This enzyme is insensitive to Ca(2+)/calmodulin, and is stimulated by the G protein beta and gamma subunit complex. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

ADCY2: This is a membrane-bound, calmodulin-insensitive adenylyl cyclase. Belongs to the adenylyl cyclase class-4/guanylyl cyclase family.

Product Notes

The Human ADCY2 adcy2 (Catalog #AAA2501586) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2501586 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ADCY2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ADCY2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
