Intended Uses: This ARPC4 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human ARPC4. This ELISA kit for research use only!

Principle of the Assay||ARPC4 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-ARPC4 antibody and an ARPC4-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ARPC4-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ARPC4 concentration since ARPC4 from samples and ARPC4-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ARPC4 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ARPC4 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ARPC4-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ARPC4 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

This locus represents naturally occurring read-through transcription between the neighboring ARPC4 (actin related protein 2/3 complex, subunit 4) and TTLL3 (tubulin tyrosine ligase-like family, member 3) genes. The read-through transcript encodes a fusion protein that shares sequence identity with each individual gene product. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2010]

Uniprot Description

ARPC4: Functions as actin-binding component of the Arp2/3 complex which is involved in regulation of actin polymerization and together with an activating nucleation-promoting factor (NPF) mediates the formation of branched actin networks. Seems to contact the mother actin filament. Belongs to the ARPC4 family.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 3p25.3

Cellular Component: Arp2/3 protein complex; cell projection; cytosol

Molecular Function: actin filament binding; protein binding, bridging; protein binding; enzyme binding; structural constituent of cytoskeleton

Biological Process: axon guidance; actin filament polymerization; ephrin receptor signaling pathway; innate immune response; actin nucleation

Product Notes

The Human ARPC4) arpc4 (Catalog #AAA7248167) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7248167 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ARPC4). It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Actin related protein 2/3 complex subunit 4 (ARPC4), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
