Reactivity
Human
Specificity
This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of ABLIM3. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between ABLIM3 and analogues was observed. NOTE: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the cross-reactivity detection between ABLIM3 and all the analogues, therefore, cross reaction may still exist in some cases.

Serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type
Quantitative Competitive
Sensitivity
0.1 ng/mL
Preparation and Storage
Store all reagents at 2-8 degree C.

Intended Uses: This ABLIM3 ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human ABLIM3. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or test applications!

Principle of the Assay: ABLIM3 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-ABLIM3 antibody and an ABLIM3-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with ABLIM3-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the ABLIM3 concentration since ABLIM3 from samples and ABLIM3-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-ABLIM3 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by ABLIM3 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind ABLIM3-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The ABLIM3 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

NCBI Description

The LIM domain is a double zinc finger structure that promotes protein-protein interactions. LIM domain proteins, such as ABLIM3, play roles in embryonic development, cell lineage determination, and cancer (Krupp et al., 2006 [PubMed 16328021]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]

Uniprot Description

ABLIM3: May act as scaffold protein. May stimulate ABRA activity and ABRA-dependent SRF transcriptional activity. 4 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Protein type: Motility/polarity/chemotaxis; Cytoskeletal; Actin-binding

Chromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 5q32

Cellular Component: lamellipodium; cytoplasm; stress fiber

Molecular Function: zinc ion binding; actin binding

Biological Process: lamellipodium biogenesis; axon guidance; transcription, DNA-dependent; cilium biogenesis; positive regulation of transcription from RNA polymerase II promoter; actin cytoskeleton organization and biogenesis

Product Notes

The Human ABLIM3 ablim3 (Catalog #AAA7250927) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA7250927 ELISA Kit recognizes Human ABLIM3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Actin binding LIM protein 3 (ABLIM3), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
