Human A/G-Specific Adenine DNA Glycosylase (MUTYH) ELISA Kit | MUTYH elisa kit
Human A/G-Specific Adenine DNA Glycosylase (MUTYH) ELISA Kit
* Allow all reagents to warm to room temperature for at least 30 minutes before opening.
* Pre-rinse the pipet tip with reagent, use fresh pipet tips for each sample, standard and reagent to avoid contamination.
* Unused wells must be kept desiccated at 4 degree C in the sealed bag provided.
* Mix Thoroughly is very important for the result. It is recommended using low frequency oscillator or slight hand shaking every 10 minutes.
* It is recommended that all samples and standards be assayed in duplicate or triplicate.
Background: MUTYH glycosylase, involved in oxidative DNA damage repair. The enzyme excises adenine bases from the DNA backbone at sites where adenine is inappropriately paired with guanine, cytosine, or 8-oxo-7,8-dihydroguanine, a major oxidatively damaged DNA lesion. The protein is localized to the nucleus and mitochondria. Mutations in this gene result in heritable predisposition to colon and stomach cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Mutations in the MUTYH gene cause an autosomal recessive form of familial adenomatous polyposis. Polyps caused by mutated M
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a DNA glycosylase involved in oxidative DNA damage repair. This gene product is thought to play a role in signaling apoptosis by the introduction of single-strand breaks following oxidative damage. Mutations in this gene result in heritable predisposition to colorectal cancer, termed MUTYH-associated polyposis (MAP). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2017]
Uniprot Description
MUTYH: Involved in oxidative DNA damage repair. Initiates repair of A*oxoG to C*G by removing the inappropriately paired adenine base from the DNA backbone. Possesses both adenine and 2- OH-A DNA glycosylase activities. Belongs to the Nth/MutY family. 6 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Human MUTYH mutyh (Catalog #AAA9715888) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9715888 ELISA Kit recognizes Human MUTYH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "A/G-Specific Adenine DNA Glycosylase (MUTYH), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
