Related Product Information for LDHB clia kit
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of LDHB concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to LDHB. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for LDHB and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain LDHB, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of LDHB. You can calculate the concentration of LDHB in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes the B subunit of lactate dehydrogenase enzyme, which catalyzes the interconversion of pyruvate and lactate with concomitant interconversion of NADH and NAD+ in a post-glycolysis process. Recent studies have shown that two protein isoforms are produced from the same mRNA by use of alternative in-frame translation termination codons via a stop codon readthrough mechanism, and that these C-terminally distinct isoforms have different subcellular localization. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have also been found for this gene. Mutations in this gene are associated with lactate dehydrogenase B deficiency. Pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes X, 5 and 13. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2015]

Product Notes

The Human LDHB ldhb (Catalog #AAA2532282) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2532282 CLIA Kit recognizes Human LDHB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "LDHB (Lactate Dehydrogenase B), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
