Related Product Information for ETRB clia kit
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of ETRB concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This kit uses Sandwich-CLIA as the method. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to ETRB. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for ETRB and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate is added to each micro plate well successively and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain ETRB, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured spectrophotometrically by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of ETRB. You can calculate the concentration of ETRB in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a G protein-coupled receptor which activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Its ligand, endothelin, consists of a family of three potent vasoactive peptides: ET1, ET2, and ET3. Studies suggest that the multigenic disorder, Hirschsprung disease type 2, is due to mutations in the endothelin receptor type B gene. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2011]

Uniprot Description

ETB: a G protein-coupled receptor which activates a phosphatidylinoitol-calcium second messenger system. Its ligand, endothelin, consists of a family of three potent vasoactive peptides: ET1, ET2, and ET3. Studies suggest that the multigenic disorder, Hirschsprung disease type 2, is due to mutation in endothelin receptor type B gene. Essential component in the normal development of two neuronal crest-derived cell lineages. Two splice variant isoforms have been described.

Product Notes

The Human ETRB ednrb (Catalog #AAA2533226) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2533226 CLIA Kit recognizes Human ETRB. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "ETRB (Endothelin Receptor B), CLIA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
