Related Product Information for PDE1A blocking peptide
This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-PDE1A Antibody, made

Target Description: This gene encodes a member of the sodium bicarbonate cotransporter (NBC) family, part of the bicarbonate transporter superfamily. Sodium bicarbonate cotransporters are involved in intracellular pH regulation and electroneural or electrogenic sodium bicarbonate transport. This protein is thought to be an integral membrane protein. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene, but the biological validity of some variants has not been determined.

NCBI Description

Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases (PDEs) play a role in signal transduction by regulating intracellular cyclic nucleotide concentrations through hydrolysis of cAMP and/or cGMP to their respective nucleoside 5-prime monophosphates. Members of the PDE1 family, such as PDE1A, are Ca(2+)/calmodulin (see CALM1; MIM 114180)-dependent PDEs (CaM-PDEs) that are activated by calmodulin in the presence of Ca(2+) (Michibata et al., 2001 [PubMed 11342109]; Fidock et al., 2002 [PubMed 11747989]).[supplied by OMIM, Oct 2009]

Uniprot Description

PDE1A: Cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase with a dual- specificity for the second messengers cAMP and cGMP, which are key regulators of many important physiological processes. Has a higher affinity for cGMP than for cAMP. Belongs to the cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase family. PDE1 subfamily. 9 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The PDE1A pde1a (Catalog #AAA3236363) is a Blocking Peptide and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PDE1A Peptide - C-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PDE1A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PDE1A pde1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: RWSKPHVSTL SLHSLFELRT CLQTGTVLLD LDSGSLPQII DDVIEKQIED. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PDE1A, Blocking Peptide" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
