Related Product Information for MIS RII, Fc Chimera active protein
Human MIS RII (Mullerian inhibiting substance type II receptor), also known as AMHRII (anti-Mullerian hormone type II receptor), is an 82kD serine/threonine receptor with a single transmembrane domain that belongs to the family of type II receptors of the TGF-Beta superfamily (1). The MIS RII precursor is 573 amino acids (aa) in length, with a 17 aa signal sequence, a 127 aa extracellular region that also contains two potential N-linked glycosylation sites, a 26 aa transmembrane region, and a 403 aa cytoplasmic region that contains the serine/threonine kinase domain (1). Human MIS RII shares 82%, 78%, and 77% aa sequence identity with rabbit, mouse, and rat MIS RII, respectively. It is expressed in the mesenchyme surrounding the fetal Mullerian duct, in fetal and postnatal granulosa cells, and in Sertoli cells (1-6). MIS RII is a receptor for Mullerian inhibitor substance (MIS), also known as anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH), which is responsible for regression of the Mullerian duct, the anlagen of the uterus, Fallopian tubes, and upper vagina in male fetuses (1-6). Mutations in MIS RII result in persistent Mullerian duct syndrome (PMDS), an extremely rare form of pseudohermaphroditism (5, 6)

Product Notes

The MIS RII, Fc Chimera (Catalog #AAA636937) is an Active Protein and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MIS RII, Fc Chimera, Recombinant, Human (Mullerian Inhibiting Substance Type II Teceptor, AMHRII, anti-Mullerian Hormone Type II Receptor) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MIS RII, Fc Chimera can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (EL/EIA). Suitable for use in ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MIS RII, Fc Chimera for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIS RII, Fc Chimera, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
