Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Function: Functions as a master transcriptional regulator of the adaptive response to hypoxia. Binds to core DNA sequence 5'-[AG]CGTG-3' within the hypoxia response element (HRE) of target gene promoters. Activation requires recruitment of transcriptional coactivators
By similarity.
Subunit structure: Efficient DNA binding requires heterodimerization of an alpha and a beta/ARNT subunit
By similarity.
Subcellular location: Cytoplasm
By similarity. Nucleus
By similarity. Note: Cytoplasmic in normoxia, nuclear translocation in response to hypoxia
By similarity.
Domain: Contains two independent C-terminal transactivation domains, NTAD and CTAD, which function synergistically. Their transcriptional activity is repressed by an intervening inhibitory domain (ID)
By similarity.
Post-translational modification: In normoxia, is hydroxylated on Pro-402 and Pro-562. The hydroxylated prolines promote interaction with VHL, initiating rapid ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation. Under hypoxia, proline hydroxylation is impaired and ubiquitination is attenuated, resulting in stabilization
By similarity. In normoxia, is hydroxylated on Asn-788, thus abrogating interaction with CREBBP and EP300 and preventing transcriptional activation
By similarity. The iron and 2-oxoglutarate dependent 3-hydroxylation of asparagine is (S) stereospecific within HIF CTAD domains
By similarity.
Sequence similarities: Contains 1 bHLH (basic helix-loop-helix) domain.Contains 1 PAC (PAS-associated C-terminal) domain.Contains 2 PAS (PER-ARNT-SIM) domains.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Hypoxia Inducible Factor 1 Alpha (HIF1a), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
