Mouse histidyl-tRNA synthetase 2, mitochondrial (putative) ELISA Kit | HARS2 elisa kit
Mouse Probable histidyl-tRNA synthetase, mitochondrial, HARS2 ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a putative member of the class II family of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. These enzymes play a critical role in protein biosynthesis by charging tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. This protein is encoded by the nuclear genome but is likely to be imported to the mitochondrion where it is thought to catalyze the ligation of histidine to tRNA molecules. Mutations in a similar gene in human have been associated with Perrault syndrome 2 (PRLTS2). [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2015]
Uniprot Description
HARS2: Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases are a class of enzymes that charge tRNAs with their cognate amino acids. The protein encoded by this gene is an enzyme belonging to the class II family of aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases. Functioning in the synthesis of histidyl-transfer RNA, the enzyme plays an accessory role in the regulation of protein biosynthesis. The gene is located in a head-to-head orientation with HARS on chromosome five, where the homologous genes share a bidirectional promoter. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes
The Mouse HARS2 hars2 (Catalog #AAA9316122) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9316122 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse HARS2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "histidyl-tRNA synthetase 2, mitochondrial (putative), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
