Principle of the Assay: GTF2F1 ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-GTF2F1 antibody and an GTF2F1-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with GTF2F1-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the GTF2F1 concentration since GTF2F1 from samples and GTF2F1-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-GTF2F1 antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by GTF2F1 from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind GTF2F1-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The GTF2F1 concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Uniprot Description

GTF2F1: TFIIF is a general transcription initiation factor that binds to RNA polymerase II and helps to recruit it to the initiation complex in collaboration with TFIIB. It promotes transcription elongation. Heterodimer of an alpha and a beta subunit. Interacts with GTF2F2, CTDP1, TAF6/TAFII80 and URI1. Up-regulated in response to enterovirus 71 (EV71) infection. Belongs to the TFIIF alpha subunit family.

Product Notes

The Bovine GTF2F1 gtf2f1 (Catalog #AAA752935) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA752935 ELISA Kit recognizes Bovine GTF2F1. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "General Transcription Factor IIF, Polypeptide 1, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
