Bovine G Protein Coupled Receptor ELISA Kit
Principle of the Assay: GPCR ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing an anti-GPCR antibody and an GPCR-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with GPCR-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the GPCR concentration since GPCR from samples and GPCR-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-GPCR antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by GPCR from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind GPCR-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The GPCR concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Encodes a plasma membrane localized ABA receptor, which interacts with the Gαβγ complex. It has been postulated that the binding of ABA to GCR2 results in the release of the G protein and dissociation of the heterotrimeric complex into Gα and the Gβγ dimer to activate downstream ABA effectors and to trigger the ABA responses.
Uniprot Description
May play a role in abscisic acid (ABA) signaling.

Product Notes
The Bovine GPCR gcr2 (Catalog #AAA739616) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA739616 ELISA Kit recognizes Bovine GPCR. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "G Protein Coupled Receptor, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
