Uniprot Description

Glycoprotein N and Glycoprotein C interact with each other and are present at the surface of the virion. They are able to attach the virion to host cell receptors. This attachment induces virion internalization predominantly through clathrin-dependent endocytosis. Also promote fusion of viral membrane with host endosomal membrane after endocytosis of the virion. Glycoprotein N contains an ITAM motif which is likely to dysregulate normal immune and endothelial cell responses and contribute to virus pathogenesis ().

Product Notes

The GP gp (Catalog #AAA7015954) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Cell Free Expression and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 659-1148aa; full length protein. This is a recombinant transmembrane protein expressed in a cell-free expression system. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GP gp for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Envelope glycoprotein (GP), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
