Host
E Coli
Purity/Purification
Highly Purified
97% by RP-HPLC, FPLC, or reducing/non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stain. Chromatographically purified.
Form/Format
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in 5mM phosphate buffer, mannitol and glycine.
Sequence
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Phe-Pro-Thr-Ile.
Dimers and Aggregates
1% as determined by silver-stained SDS-PAGE gel analysis.
Endotoxin Level
0.1ng/ug (IEU/ug) of Rat Growth Hormone.
Protein Content
Protein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods:
1. UV spectroscopy at 280nm.
2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of Rat Growth Hormone as a Reference Standard.
Reconstitution
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Rat-GH in sterile 18M -cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degree C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile dH2O and store at -20 degree C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degree C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
Related Product Information for Gnrhr recombinant protein
A polypeptide that is secreted by the adenohypophysis. Growth hormone, also known as somatotropin, stimulates mitosis, cell differentiation and cell growth. Species-specific growth hormones have been synthesized. GH augments the cytolytic activity of T-cells, antibody synthesis, and granulocyte differentiation induced by GM-CSF. GH also enhances production of TNF-alpha, generation of superoxide anions from peritoneal macrophages, and natural killer activity.

Recombinant Rat GH is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing having a molecular mass of 21940.01 Dalton.

NCBI Description

induces the synthesis of pituitary gonadotropins; G-protein coupled receptor activity acts via both G(q) and G(s) signaling pathways [RGD, Feb 2006]

Uniprot Description

GNRHR: Receptor for gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) that mediates the action of GnRH to stimulate the secretion of the gonadotropic hormones luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle- stimulating hormone (FSH). This receptor mediates its action by association with G-proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol- calcium second messenger system. Isoform 2 may act as an inhibitor of GnRH-R signaling. Defects in GNRHR are a cause of idiopathic hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (IHH). IHH is defined as a deficiency of the pituitary secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone, which results in the impairment of pubertal maturation and of reproductive function. Defects in GNRHR are a cause of fertile eunuch syndrome (FEUNS). Fertile eunuch syndrome is a mild phenotypic form of HH going with the presence of normal testicular size and some degree of spermatogenesis. Belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family. 2 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Gnrhr gnrhr (Catalog #AAA635755) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Phe-Pr o-Thr-Ile. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Growth Hormone, Rat, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
