Stable for 12 months if correctly stored.
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determinedby accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and noobvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate is less than 5% within theexpiration date under appropriate storage condition.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate each subunit of the disulfide-linked homodimer. This protein plays a role in the development of the nervous and other organ systems, and may regulate aging. Mice lacking a functional copy of this gene exhibit impaired anteroposterior patterning and other developmental defects. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2016]

Uniprot Description

Secreted signal that acts globally to specify positional identity along the anterior/posterior axis during development. Play critical roles in patterning both mesodermal and neural tissues and in establishing the skeletal pattern.

Product Notes

The GDF11 gdf11 (Catalog #AAA2125517) is a Recombinant Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Growth Differentiation Factor 11 (GDF11) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Positive Control, Immunogen, SDS-PAGE, Western Blot (WB). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GDF11 gdf11 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Asn297~Ser 405. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Growth Differentiation Factor 11 (GDF11), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
