Principle of the Assay: FSH ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a polyclonal anti-FSH antibody and an FSH-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with FSH-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the FSH concentration since FSH from samples and FSH-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-FSH antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by FSH from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind FSH-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The FSH concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
BRD2: an atypical protein kinase with two bromodomains that bind to acetylated lysine residues. Specifically interacts with transcriptionally active chromatin. Elevated protein kinase activity in leukemias. Transgenic mice overexpressing BRD2 in the lymphoid system develop diffuse large-cell lymphoma. Interacts with E2F1 and with histone H4 acetylated at Lys-13. May play a role in spermatogenesis or folliculogenesis. Genetic evidence links the BRD2 gene to both juvenile myoclonic epilepsy and photoparoxysomal responses. Two isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes
The Mouse FSH brd2 (Catalog #AAA727159) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA727159 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse FSH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Follicle Stimulating Hormone, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
