Biological Significance
FRK or Rak is a nuclear tyrosine kinase and member of the Src sub-family. Restricted expression of FRK is detected in a broad range of cell lines with highest levels in epithelial cells. Increased expression of FRK has been shown in breast and renal cell carcinoma cell lines. In addition the retinoblastoma tumor susceptibility gene product pRb associates with FRK in vitro and in vivo. Overexpression of FRK in beta-cells from the pancreas increases the susceptibility of these cells to beta-cell-toxic events.
Expression System
Sf-9 insect cells
Preparation and Storage
Store at -80 degree C

Product Notes

The FRK frk (Catalog #AAA5304551) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Human and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "FRK, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
