Principle of the Assay||This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. anti-Human FOXP3 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti-Human FOXP3 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the Human FOXP3 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of Human FOXP3 can be calculated.

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the forkhead/winged-helix family of transcriptional regulators. Defects in this gene are the cause of immunodeficiency polyendocrinopathy, enteropathy, X-linked syndrome (IPEX), also known as X-linked autoimmunity-immunodeficiency syndrome. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

FOXP3: Probable transcription factor. Plays a critical role in the control of immune response. Interacts with IKZF3. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

Product Notes

The Human FOXP3 foxp3 (Catalog #AAA763499) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA763499 ELISA Kit recognizes Human FOXP3. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Forkhead box protein P3, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
