Flagellar M-ring protein (fliF) Recombinant Protein | fliF recombinant protein
Recombinant Escherichia coli Flagellar M-ring protein (fliF)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
FliF is the basic subunit that polymerizes to form the MS ring structure complex of the flagellar basal body . [More information is available at EcoCyc: EG11347].
Uniprot Description
Function: The M ring may be actively involved in energy transduction.
Subunit structure: The basal body constitutes a major portion of the flagellar organelle and consists of four rings (L,P,S, and M) mounted on a central rod. The M ring is integral to the inner membrane of the cell and may be connected to the flagellar rod via the S ring. The S (supramembrane ring) lies just distal to the M ring. The L and P rings lie in the outer membrane and the periplasmic space, respectively.
Subcellular location: Cell inner membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Bacterial flagellum basal body Ref.7.
Sequence similarities: Belongs to the FliF family.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Flagellar M-ring protein (fliF), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
