Uniprot Description

FCER1A: Binds to the Fc region of immunoglobulins epsilon. High affinity receptor. Responsible for initiating the allergic response. Binding of allergen to receptor-bound IgE leads to cell activation and the release of mediators (such as histamine) responsible for the manifestations of allergy. The same receptor also induces the secretion of important lymphokines.

Protein type: Membrane protein, integral

Cellular Component: cell surface; external side of plasma membrane; integral to membrane; integral to plasma membrane; lipid raft; membrane; plasma membrane

Molecular Function: IgE binding; IgE receptor activity; protein binding

Biological Process: activation of JNK activity; activation of MAPK activity; cell surface receptor linked signal transduction; leukotriene biosynthetic process; positive regulation of calcium-mediated signaling; positive regulation of granulocyte macrophage colony-stimulating factor biosynthetic process; positive regulation of interleukin-3 biosynthetic process; positive regulation of mast cell degranulation; positive regulation of peptidyl-tyrosine phosphorylation; positive regulation of type I hypersensitivity; serotonin secretion; signal transduction

Product Notes

The Mouse Fcer1a fcer1a (Catalog #AAA2880964) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA2880964 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse Fcer1a. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "High affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor subunit alpha, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
