NCBI Description

This gene is located at the 5' end of the Hoxd gene cluster on chromosome 2. The encoded protein is a homeobox transcription factor that is related to the protein encoded by the Drosophila even-skipped (eve) gene, a member of the pair-rule class of segmentation genes. The encoded protein plays a role in limb morphogenesis. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015]

Uniprot Description

EVX2: This gene is located at the 5' end of the HOXD gene cluster on chromosome 2. The encoded protein is a homeobox transcription factor that is related to the protein encoded by the Drosophila even-skipped (eve) gene, a member of the pair-rule class of segmentation genes. A 117 kb microdeletion at the 5' end of the HOXD gene cluster, which includes this gene and the HOXD9-HOXD13 genes, causes synpolydactyly, a dominantly inherited disease resulting in limb malformation. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

Product Notes

The Mouse EVX2 evx2 (Catalog #AAA9338871) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9338871 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse EVX2. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "even-skipped homeobox 2, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
