Related Product Information for E elisa kit
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate E in samples. An antibody specific for E has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyE present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for E is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of E bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes an estrogen receptor, a ligand-activated transcription factor composed of several domains important for hormone binding, DNA binding, and activation of transcription. The protein localizes to the nucleus where it may form a homodimer or a heterodimer with estrogen receptor 2. Estrogen and its receptors are essential for sexual development and reproductive function, but also play a role in other tissues such as bone. Estrogen receptors are also involved in pathological processes including breast cancer, endometrial cancer, and osteoporosis. Alternative promoter usage and alternative splicing result in dozens of transcript variants, but the full-length nature of many of these variants has not been determined. Product Notes

The Rat E esr1 (Catalog #AAA284768) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA284768 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat E. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Estrogen, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
