Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interferon-gamma in sterile 18M Omega -cm H2O not less than 100 ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Biological Activity
The specific activity as determined by the cytopathic affect inhibition assay with murine L929 cells chalenged with EMC virus was < 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 10,000,000units/mg.
Preparation and Storage
Lyophilized Interferon-gamma although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18 degree C. Upon reconstitution IFN-gamma should be stored at 4 degree C between 2-7 days and for future use below -18 degree C.For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Product Notes

The rIFNG ifng (Catalog #AAA142236) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Gln-Gl y-Tyr-Leu. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interferon-gamma, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
