Related Product Information for MIP-3 beta (CCL19) active protein
MIP-3beta is a CC chemokine that is expressed in the thymus, lymph nodes and in activated bone marrow stromal cells and signals through the CCR7 receptor. MIP-3beta is a chemoattractant for T and B lymphocytes and myeloid progenitor cells. Human MIP-3beta is active on murine cells. Recombinant human MIP-3beta is an 8.8 kDa protein containing 77 amino acid residues, including the four highly conserved cysteine residues present in CC chemokines.

NCBI Description

This gene is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on the p-arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene may play a role in normal lymphocyte recirculation and homing. It also plays an important role in trafficking of T cells in thymus, and in T cell and B cell migration to secondary lymphoid organs. It specifically binds to chemokine receptor CCR7. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Uniprot Description

Function: May play a role not only in inflammatory and immunological responses but also in normal lymphocyte recirculation and homing. May play an important role in trafficking of T-cells in thymus, and T-cell and B-cell migration to secondary lymphoid organs. Binds to chemokine receptor CCR7. Recombinant CCL19 shows potent chemotactic activity for T-cells and B-cells but not for granulocytes and monocytes. Binds to atypical chemokine receptor ACKR4 and mediates the recruitment of beta-arrestin (ARRB1/2) to ACKR4. Ref.6

Subcellular location: Secreted.

Tissue specificity: Expressed at high levels in the lymph nodes, thymus and appendix. Intermediate levels seen in colon and trachea, while low levels found in spleen, small intestine, lung, kidney and stomach.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.

Product Notes

The MIP-3 beta (CCL19) ccl19 (Catalog #AAA691825) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Human MIP-3 beta (CCL19) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. The amino acid sequence is listed below: GTNDAEDCCL SVTQKPIPGY IVRNFHYLLI KDGCRVPAVV FTTLRG RQLC APPDQPWVER IIQRLQRTSA KMKRRSS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MIP-3 beta (CCL19), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
