Activity Data (IL17D (Interleukin-17D) belongs to the IL17 (interleukin 17) family, which includes six members (IL-17, IL-17B through IL-17F). IL17D is reported to induce the expression of IL6, CXCL8/IL8, and CSF2/GM-CSF from endothelial cells. IL17 family members share some similarities in AA sequence and structure, thus, a binding ELISA assay was constructed to detect the association of recombinant human IL17D with recombinant human IL17RB. Briefly, IL17D were diluted serially in PBS with 0.1%BSA (pH 7.4). Duplicate samples of 100uL were then transferred to IL17RB-coated microtiter wells and incubated for 2h at 37 degree C. Wells were washed with PBST and incubated for 1h with anti-IL17D pAb, then aspirated and washed 3 times. After incubation with HRP labelled secondary antibody, wells were aspirated and washed 3 times. With the addition of substrate solution, wells were incubated 15-25 minutes at 37 degree C. Finally, add 50uL stop solution to the wells and read at 450nm immediately. The binding activity of IL17D with IL17RB was shown in Figure 1 and this effect was in a dose dependent manner.)

NCBI Description

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that shares the sequence similarity with IL17. The treatment of endothelial cells with this cytokine has been shown to stimulate the production of other cytokines including IL6, IL8 and CSF2/ GM-CSF. The increased expression of IL8 induced by this cytokine was found to be NF-kappa B-dependent. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Product Notes

The IL17D il17d (Catalog #AAA2097331) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Active Interleukin 17D (IL17D) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Interleukin 17D (IL17D) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell culture, Activity Assays. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL17D il17d for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin 17D (IL17D), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
