Interleukin 17B (IL17B) Active Protein | IL17B active protein
Active Interleukin 17B (IL17B)
Activity Data
(IL17B (Interleukin-17B) is is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17, which has been proven to mediate potent inflammatory immune response. Besides, increasing evidence suggests that IL17 may play a critical role in various kinds of liver diseases, including hepatocellualar carcinoma. Thus a stimulation assay has been conducted to detect the bioactivity of IL17B. HepG2 cells were seeded into 24-well plate at a density of 1x10^5 cells/mL, and allowed to attach overnight before treated with or without certain concentrations (250ng/mL, 500ng/mL) of IL17B for 20h and IL-8 levels in the cell supernatant were determined by ELISA.)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Accurate Molecular Weight: 20kDa
NCBI Description
The protein encoded by this gene is a T cell-derived cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine was reported to stimulate the release of TNF alpha (TNF) and IL1 beta (IL1B) from a monocytic cell line. Immunohistochemical analysis of several nerve tissues indicated that this cytokine is primarily localized to neuronal cell bodies. Alternative splicing results in multiple splice variants. The Active Interleukin 17B (IL17B) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Interleukin 17B (IL17B) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Cell culture, Activity Assays. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the IL17B il17b for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Interleukin 17B (IL17B), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
