Related Product Information for GRO-gamma (CXCL3) active protein
All three isoforms of GRO are CXC chemokines that can signal through the CXCR1 or CXCR2 receptors. The GRO proteins chemoattract and activate neutrophils and basophils. Recombinant human GRO-gamma is a 7.9 kDa protein consisting of 73 amino acids including the \'ELR\' motif common to the CXC chemokine family that bind to CXCR1 or CXCR2.

NCBI Description

This antimicrobial gene encodes a member of the CXC subfamily of chemokines. The encoded protein is a secreted growth factor that signals through the G-protein coupled receptor, CXC receptor 2. This protein plays a role in inflammation and as a chemoattractant for neutrophils. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2014]

Uniprot Description

Function: Ligand for CXCR2

By similarity. Has chemotactic activity for neutrophils. May play a role in inflammation and exert its effects on endothelial cells in an autocrine fashion. In vitro, the processed form GRO-gamma(5-73) shows a fivefold higher chemotactic activity for neutrophilic granulocytes. Ref.7

Subcellular location: Secreted.

Post-translational modification: N-terminal processed form GRO-gamma(5-73) is produced by proteolytic cleavage after secretion from peripheral blood monocytes.

Sequence similarities: Belongs to the intercrine alpha (chemokine CxC) family.

Product Notes

The GRO-gamma (CXCL3) cxcl3 (Catalog #AAA691928) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Human GRO-gamma (CXCL3) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. The amino acid sequence is listed below: ASVVTELRCQ CLQTLQGIHL KNIQSVNVRS PGPHCAQTEV IATLKN GKKA CLNPASPMVQ KIIEKILNKG STN. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GRO-gamma (CXCL3), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
