MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene B, Recombinant, Human (MICB)
95% as determined by RP-HPLC, anion-exchange FPLC and/or reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.
95% as determined by RP-HPLC, anion-exchange FPLC and/or reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE Silver Stained gel.
1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm.
2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of MICB as a Reference Standard.
Stability: Lyophilized Recombinant Human MICB although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -180C. Upon reconstitution MICB should be stored at 40C between 2-7 days and for future use below -180C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
rHuMICB produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 326 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 37kD. The sequence contains the extracellular domain of the mature human MICB (amino acid residues Ala23 - Tyr312) MICB is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a heavily glycosylated protein which is a ligand for the NKG2D type II receptor. Binding of the ligand activates the cytolytic response of natural killer (NK) cells, CD8 alphabeta T cells, and gammadelta T cells which express the receptor. This protein is stress-induced and is similar to MHC class I molecules; however, it does not associate with beta-2-microglobulin or bind peptides. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2014]

Product Notes
The MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene B (Catalog #AAA637846) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MHC Class 1 Chain-related Gene B, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
