Related Product Information for ALDOA active protein
Fructose bisphosphate aldolase A, also known as Aldolase A is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate. It is found in the developing embryo and is produced in even greater amounts in adult muscle. Aldolase A expression is repressed in adult liver, kidney and intestine and similar to aldolase C levels in brain and other nervous tissue. Deficiency has been associated with myopathy and hemolytic anemia. Recombinant human Aldolase A, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E Coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

NCBI Description

This gene encodes a member of the class I fructose-bisphosphate aldolase protein family. The encoded protein is a glycolytic enzyme that catalyzes the reversible conversion of fructose-1,6-bisphosphate to glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate and dihydroxyacetone phosphate. Three aldolase isozymes (A, B, and C), encoded by three different genes, are differentially expressed during development. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Glycogen Storage Disease XII, an autosomal recessive disorder associated with hemolytic anemia. Disruption of this gene also plays a role in the progression of multiple types of cancers. Related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosomes 3 and 10. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2017]

Uniprot Description

Plays a key role in glycolysis and gluconeogenesis. In addition, may also function as scaffolding protein ().

Product Notes

The ALDOA aldoa (Catalog #AAA203442) is an Active Protein produced from E Coli and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The tag for this protein is His-tag. AAA Biotech's Aldolase A can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, SDS-PAGE. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the ALDOA aldoa for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: MGSSHHHHHH SSGLVPRGSH MPYQYPALTP EQKKELSDIA HRIVAPGKGI LAADESTGSI AKRLQSIGTE NTEENRRFYR QLLLTADDRV NPCIGGVILF HETLYQKADD GRPFPQVIKS KGGVVGIKVD KGVVPLAGTN GETTTQGLDG LSERCAQYKK DGADFAKWRC VLKIGEHTPS ALAIMENANV LARYASICQQ NGIVPIVEPE ILPDGDHDLK RCQYVTEKVL AAVYKALSDH HIYLEGTLLK PNMVTPGHAC TQKFSHEEIA MATVTALRRT VPPAVTGITF LSGGQSEEEA SINLNAINKC PLLKPWALTF SYGRALQASA LKAWGGKKEN LKAAQEEYVK RALANSLACQ GKYTPSGQAG AAASESLFVS NHAY. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Aldolase A, Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
