Duck Short-Chain Specific Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase, Mitochondrial (ACADS) ELISA Kit
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
This gene encodes a tetrameric mitochondrial flavoprotein, which is a member of the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family. This enzyme catalyzes the initial step of the mitochondrial fatty acid beta-oxidation pathway. Mutations in this gene have been associated with short-chain acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (SCAD) deficiency. Alternative splicing results in two variants which encode different isoforms. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2014]
Uniprot Description
ACADS: Defects in ACADS are the cause of acyl-CoA dehydrogenase short-chain deficiency (ACADSD). It is an autosomal recessive disorder resulting in acute acidosis and muscle weakness in infants, and a form of lipid-storage myopathy in adults. Belongs to the acyl-CoA dehydrogenase family.

Product Notes
The Duck ACADS acads (Catalog #AAA9345607) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA9345607 ELISA Kit recognizes Duck ACADS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Short-Chain Specific Acyl-CoA Dehydrogenase, Mitochondrial (ACADS), ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
