Stability Test: The thermal stability is described by the loss rate of the targetprotein. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37 degree C for 48h, and no obvious degradation andprecipitation were observed. (Referring from China Biological Products Standard, which was calculated by the Arrhenius equation.) The loss of this protein is lessthan 5% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
NCBI Description
Members of the ribonuclease III superfamily of double-stranded (ds) RNA-specific endoribonucleases participate in diverse RNA maturation and decay pathways in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells (Fortin et al., 2002 [PubMed 12191433]). The RNase III Drosha is the core nuclease that executes the initiation step of microRNA (miRNA) processing in the nucleus (Lee et al., 2003 [PubMed 14508493]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
Uniprot Description
DROSHA: a nuclear type-III RNase that, along with the DGCR8, executes the initial step of microRNA (miRNA) processing in the nucleus. Cleaves the local hairpin structures embedded in long primary microRNA transcripts (pri-miRNAs) into pre-miRNAs. Involved in pre-rRNA processing. Cleaves double-strand RNA and does not cleave single-strand RNA. Interacts with Sp1. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Ribonuclease III, Nuclear (RNASEN), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
