Biological Significance
In blood, the serum is the component that is neither a blood cell (serum does not contain white or red blood cells) nor a clotting factor; it is the blood plasma with the fibrinogens removed. Serum includes all proteins not used in blood clotting and all the electrolytes, antibodies, antigens, hormones, and any exogenous substances (e.g., drugs and microorganisms).

Lyophilized from 10mM sodium phosphate, O.15M sodium chloride, pH 7.2 with no
preservatives. Rehydrate with 11 ml of deionized water. Allow reconstituted product to stand
for at least 30 minutes at room temperature prior to dilution. If necessary, centrifuge to
remove any particles. Prepare fresh working solution daily.

Normal Donkey serum was obtained from healthy animals of US origin and under the care of a registered veterinarian. Use appropriate laboratory precautions when handling this product.
Preparation and Storage
Ships ambient or refrigerated. Upon receipt, store at 4°C while lyophilized. After
reconstituted, add a preservative and store at 4 °C or aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below.
Avoid repeat freeze-thaws.
