Dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (DLD) Recombinant Protein | DLD recombinant protein
Recombinant Mesocricetus auratus Dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (DLD)
NCBI and Uniprot Product Information
Uniprot Description
Lipoamide dehydrogenase is a component of the glycine cleavage system as well as an E3 component of three alpha-ketoacid dehydrogenase complexes (pyruvate-, alpha-ketoglutarate-, and branched-chain amino acid-dehydrogenase complex) (PubMed:15888450). The 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex is mainly active in the mitochondrion (). A fraction of the 2-oxoglutarate dehydrogenase complex also localizes in the nucleus and is required for lysine succinylation of histones: associates with KAT2A on chromatin and provides succinyl-CoA to histone succinyltransferase KAT2A (). In monomeric form may have additional moonlighting function as serine protease (). Involved in the hyperactivation of spermatazoa during capacitation and in the spermatazoal acrosome reaction (PubMed:14645106, PubMed:15888450).

It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Dihydrolipoyl dehydrogenase, mitochondrial (DLD), Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
